After sitting at the Starbucks with our 15£ voucher for three hours feeling stunned and dejected, and not knowing what to do, we booked into another hotel and headed back into downtown Glasgow for the afternoon for an early check-in and a few more episodes of Law And Order.
Here are the things that helped get us through today:
1. Our good friend Audrey from home made the brilliant suggestion that we just get on with the walk “Naked And Affraid” style. 🤣
2. This meme was sent to us by our other good friend Sarah from Ontario. We got a lot of miles and laughs out of it as we used it over and over. Try it, and we promise you won’t be able to stop. 😂

3. We went for dinner at Pizza Punks Glasgow. The pizzas were delicious, and the service was excellent. Amanda - Salt & Chilli, think chicken korma, peppers, onions, fior de latte. JM - Build Your Own, goat cheese, olive, mushrooms, spicy pepperoni, caramelized pineapple. Yummmmmmmm!!! We highly recommend it!
YUMMY!!!!! 🤤 |
We are getting ready to call it a night, and head back to the airport tomorrow morning first thing. If our bags are there we will be traveling all day to our start point. If not, our window of opportunity will be firmly closed and we will be doing everything we can to get put back onto a flight home. We’ll see what happens...
Thanks to everybody who have reached out with ideas, and words of encouragement and support. It has really helped, and we are thankful for your kindness.
Stay tuned for updates.....

Another bright thing to look forward to is our Ireland trip. Stay positive. Gam Zeh Ya’avor wiphich is Hebrew for “this too shall pass”.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the wise words, Tim!! And thanks for reading along. We are off to the airport now to see if there are any packs waiting for us....
